Hi All!
I’m back with SampleStore SG with a new product to review.
I’m certainly in love with common brand that WORKS.

Don’t get me wrong, i’m not a cheapo, i have tried branded products and 
facial cleansers from Lancome/ Dior/ Estee Lauder and they’re the best of the best.

However, you just can’t keep up with the costs of such products all the time!
 Having a common brand that works just fine and is gentle on the skin at the same time is just simply awesome.

So first, let me educate you guys on what oily skin can led to….

Skin problems such as (that we’re all guilty of):
-Visible larger pores (Yicks!)
-Black heads (I HATE THESE)
-Acne (Fortunately i don’t have but still…)

And having worked as a beauty counter sales person before..

We have to understand that many oil-control facial cleansers worsen the skin conditions as they strip off the natural oils on the skin, 
causing dryness and hence, resulting in more oil production. 

We need those natural oils on our skin, and that is the reason why we apply moisturiser
(even though some makes us feel more oily after shower), so that our skin don’t product MORE oil.

And considering the SUPER HOT weather in Singapore, 
You definitely have to take care of your skin to prevent oily dull complexion as compared to other cooling countries.




So, what are some of the product benefits

It’s not drying like some of the really bad common brand facial wash that i’ve tried before.
And it sort of reminds me of the hand wash kirei kirei? ahah

You know what they say about higher pricing= higher quality?

Today, i beg to differ.
I’ve found my favourite and most convenient eyelash extension salon.
This is not even an advert!

Sandy’s a Taiwanese so she really knows the beauty trend very well.
& she told me that over there they’ve already started on 6D, 9D or Cinderella kind of eyelash extensions (i can really imagine HAHA)
But right here in SG, it’s still 3D.. 


I did Mink lashes that were comfy as hell!!!
Really, it’s the most comfortable lashes i’ve ever tried.
It’s not pricky/hard and does not make me feel like plucking them off as soon as i’m done.
It’s so natural that i don’t really feel them at all?

The best part is that it’s so LONG and yet i feel nothing!!
Taiwanese really is yi ji bang(Y) BEST!

You ladies should go over to her place to try but please don’t get addicted and 
keep doing all the time ahhaha, your lashes need to grow also ok!

GELISH NAILS by Simplicity Nails @ Trina’s

Hi there! 
Some resolutions for the new year…
(Even though it’s already mid Feb)
is to get my lazy ass up and blog about not only the sponsored items,
but what i generally wants to write.
(it’s my blog anyway and a long time ago, we all used to write diaries on them isn’t it)

So I had a very simple CNY this year, as compared to all those crazy years.
Am so glad that i finally get to do my nails!
(Since my baby Aaron is not as young anymore)

So i knew Trina through a friend and 
have been wanting to support/ try out her nail services since very far back, 
but she used to stay at Jurong area, which is totally unreachable for me.

You guys can go check out 

Basically, it’s a home based nail salon located at Clementi at the moment.
So if you stay nearby, 
it’ll definitely be more convenient than going till far east plaza to have your nails done.

I’ve decided to support her as ya know, there’re surcharges for nails during cny and those that i go to are generally expensive( Yes, Far east plaza)

So this is the design i wanted with abit of twist..


And there you go!
This set costs me $105 if i remembered correctly.
With $15 surcharges.
But overall, the price is reasonable and definitely cheaper than Milly’s or The Nail Status.

On a non-cny period, and if your design is s

Am overall pleased with my nails!

ErucA Hair Products [AD]

Hello beauties!
Here’s another review post with generous products by the SampleStore SG!

If ya all didn’t know, I’m a BIG FAN of organic and natural beauty products.
I believe that at the end of the day, chemicals can never do us good.

Therefore, I’m thrilled to try out the whole range of products by

Shampoo & haircare range from Japan!


There are 3 ErucA ranges mainly:
1. Moist & Repair
2. Scalp & Volume
3. 3D Volume Up

Suggested by its name ErucA, which stands for a type of plant,
ErucA shampoo uses 12 types of botanical oils which provide similar effect

MOIST & REPAIR 
This range is supposed to help moist and tame your frizzy hair.
It also aims to restore the balance between water and oil in your hair.

It contains 3 types of botanical oil mainly,
– Argan oil
– Virgin Prune oil
– Marula oil

The Moist & Repair Shampoo smells reallyyyy good!
Love it!
It smells like jelly and honey-ish
Not sure if you’re the sweet type of girl of if you love Essential Hair Shampoo/ Sunsilk, 
you’ll love the fruity smell of this as well.
When applying, for long hair like mine, simply two 50cents coin amount is more than enough.
The shampoo is easily spread across the scalp and does not create too much bubbles/foam.
I guess it’s due to it being organic and made of botanical oil ingredients.
No worries, not oily at all!

The Moist & Repair Treatment Conditioner 
has a normal texture like the usual ones that we used for other brands.
However, when used, i notice the smell is less strong such that it will not cover the scent of the shampoo.
As well as it’s not as slippery/watery feel after applied.
When washed off, it’s easily rinsed unlike some conditioners where you have to rinse for quite awhile before they get completely rinsed off.

I have really sensitive scalp that gets irritated easily,
My hair gets very dry recently so if i used a shampoo that isn’t meant for moisturising/repair,
i can literally feel my hair being all dried up after i dry them with a dryer.
But this shampoo proves to be all good for me.
Overall, i rate this range 9/10

SCALP & VOLUME

If you have scalp itchness/dandruffs, this range is here to solve your hair issues!
Specially selected seed oils are extracted to restore balance to your scalp to their healthy stage.

It contains 3 types of botanical oil mainly,
– Broccoli seed oil
– Cowberry seed oil
– Billberry seed oil

The Scalp & Volume Shampoo range 
smells as good as the Moist & Repair range.
It’s sweet smelling, honey-like/jelly-like scent, more honey like than fruity.
It’s transparent looking however, just saying ahah
Application process is the same as the previous range!
As this range targets scalp, i haven’t been getting itch/flakes problems ever since.
I’ve been using this range for 1-2 weeks now and it simply keeps my scalp oil free and really clean..
It’s amazing!
It really works for me to use both range alternatively.
It’s really important to take care of your scalp and not oyur hair only.
So…This range comes with something extra, 
which is the ErucA Scalp & Volume Hair Mask

Oh, and i really like the Scalp and Volume Hair Mask
I remember visiting the Jonssen Protein and receiving a free Scalp Treatment.
This hair mask gives me the exact same feeling during the scalp treatment!

Basically, you apply the hair mask all over your scalp in directions as if you’re applying hair dye
Then massage your scalp area and leave them on for 5mins.
Then rinse it off!
It leaves a rather cooling effect (Not painful/ stinging)

This hair product might work really well for you.

3D VOLUME UP


This range of shampoo contains a unique formula that targets “adult beauty hair”, 
which is needed for anti-aging care.
So yes, as it sounds, it’s more suitable for people with age.

This shampoo contains 3 types of botanical oil mainly,
– Broccoli seed oil
– Cranberry seed oil
– Milk Thistle OMEGA-6

This shampoo smells more orangey and less fruity than the other ranges.
But it sure lathers VERY EASILY.
You can wash your hair in a speed with this shampoo.
But, nothing much to talk about this range for me as i’m still young HAHA.

Well, if you have weak hair, i guess you can use this as well!

Anyway.. the  bottle of VOLUME UP FOAM
is highly recommended for people with thin/ flat hair.
You can use it after your hair dry,
simply apply the bubble foam on your hair from your roots to your ends in a puff-them-up movement.

My favourite range has got to be Scalp & Volume,
(pairing with occasional use of the Scalp & Volume Hair Mask)
as it leaves my scalp clean and fuss free.

One night in Batam: Turi Beach Resort: Instagram Heaven

 Helloo there, 
welcome to the guide from my first ever BATAM trip!
Here’s a nice picture of the resort i stayed at,
Which is why you guys should consider this place as a weekend getaway option.

Decided to get of the country to celebrate AT’s birthday 
since we both needed a break badly. 
(Not going overseas for xmas this year cause of aaron ahah)
So… as a first timer to BATAM,
I’ve researched for days to decide where to stay at, 
where to go for massage(YES MASSAGE AND SPA MUST HAVE) and 
where to have seafood dinner near my hotel.

Those who have been there before advised me to decide between 
1.Shopping area
2.Beach/Resort area
(cause the hotels are at located in very different areas.)
And travelling takes roughly 30 minutes to get to either area.

Finally, we’ve decided on 
TURI BEACH RESORT
for our 1 night staycation

I understand that MONTIGO resort is really popular.
But honestly, it’s is rather expensive for a one night stay?
(I’ll rather take my hols to bangkok/hongkong)

And Turi Beach Resort sort of won 2014’s best resort award,
(Actually, no i don’t care about the awards ahahha, 
the resort room simply look nice and comfy enough)

How bad can this be seriously?
I think it’s even more awesome than MONTIGO…
Cause Turi Beach Resort has all kind of watersports as well.

We took a Batamfast ferry
 from the Tanah Merah Terminal to the Nongsapura Terminal in Batam
(Nongsapura is the nearest terminal to Turi Beach, Montigo, etc)

Tickets cost us $90+ SGD for 2 pax.
Cause i can’t find those groupon deals that goes to Nongsapura.

BATAMFAST is the only ride to Nongsapura ferry Terminal.
Sindo ferry and Majestic ferry are all towards Batam center terminal.
I would personally advise you to save time on travelling as much as possible
cause it’s really very inaccessible in Batam.
The ferry took about 35-45minutes from SG to Batam.
Take note that the time difference is 1hour. 
So we took the 2:20pm ferry in SG time and then when you reach,
it’s roughly 2plus Batam time.

Had land transfer from the ferry terminal to the resort itself.
So glad that I’m already in love with this place the moment i saw 
the structures, the ambience and surrounding views.

When we start to walk towards our hotel room,
Everywhere is black and white, and wooden.
The place is just really pretty…
(Maybe i wasn’t expecting much at first due to the haze season
The resort area really look exactly like the picture below)

Another plus point for our fellow Singaporeans,
this place is an Instagram Heaven!
Not kidding… every angle, every corner is so instagramable and looks so good.
Unfortunately i’m here to enjoy and didn’t take much #OOTD

But here, let me brief you through all the OOTD Spots.
(which i would have taken an OOTD but i was with anson so….
he’s damn lazy to take photos ahahha)

When on your way to your hotel room

We booked a Premier room in the Tirta Wing (the newer wing unlike riani wing).
But we got upgraded to a Beachfront Premier Room 
as subjected to availability.
This is WHY you need to book from their website, in order to receive this kind of free upgrades and services which you might not be entitled to if booked via any other external booking sites.
It cost roughly SGD 146 per night (After all those taxes)
With this pricing, the room’s definitely better than what you can find in SG.
What’s more, it’s near the sea!

but we sort of took a nap before doing anything else hahahahahah
Therefore, when we woke up, it’s already 6plus 7 hehe.

So, if you stay at Turi Beach Resort..
We’ll recommend you to go to 
Rezeki Seafood
It’s roughly 10-15minutes from Turi Beach(really near)

Since it’s really dark, inaccessible unlike Nagoya area,
Remember to ask the cabby to wait for you.
Pay them for a 2 way trip.
If not, i’ve got no idea how you’re gonna grab a cab
Their cab don’t have any Taxi sign,
i guess the restaurant will have to help you get one instead?

Here, really cheap and fresh seafood!

Food ordered:
1 chilli crab (the crab is kind of different from SG’s)
1 black pepper crayfish (MUST! I prefer this to the crab)
1 Gong gong
1 Gang Gong
And 1 fried rice
Plus drinks…
Total cost: 400.000 IDR
Cause we bargained from 450,000 IDR HAHA

Therefore, money spent is roughly 40bucks SGD?
OMG i want to eat seafood everyday man.
So cheap!

After which, we cabbed back to hotel room to continue with celebration!

Under my booking, there is a complimentary birthday cake.

They did a pretty setup of the Happy birthday deco with petals hehe
The next morning.

Woke up for breakfast, which will not be available after 1030am
The only thing i’m upset about this place is that 
i woke up with mosquito bites on my eyelid and arms:(

So, here’s the trick, we bought an open ticket back to SG
So we can choose whether to go straight back from the resort to Nongsapura Terminal
or head to Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre and then 
return to SG from Batam Centre terminal.

We went to the famous Spa Secret opposite Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall.
It’s just across the street,
so don’t end up being tricked to take a Taxi from Nagoya Hill.


They have really reasonable pricing for massage, spas and baths.

For ladies, plus point cause ya got to do your nails and hair as well.
We both did the Hot Stone Massage only.
This cost us Rp. 420,000 / 2 hours
It’s worth it for 2 hours of massage!

After which, 
we head to Batam Centre Terminal,
It’s prolly 20mins-45mins ride from the mall to there terminal
So don’t be late for your ferry!

And for our open ticket, 
we had to top up $2 each to return from Batam centre instead of Nongsapura

Lastly, from Batam Centre to SG,
 it’ll arrive at Harbourfront Terminal instead of Tanah Merah

The total spending for the trip: Approx. $400-$450 for 2 pax.
Inclusive of resort, ferry, massage, eats, taxi fares, simply everything!

I should just go to BKK in future seriously ahaha
But o well, never go, never know!
Overall, It’s not too bad..
It’s near SG and ya know..i don’t have to take an airplane to get here.

IF you don’t wanna spend so much for Batam, 
just stay at a normal hotel, not a resort.
Or purchase a groupon deal.
Or… go for a one-day trip, have some massage/seafood and then head back sg!

I’ve been really busy with work and events
and haven’t really got ANY time for pampering facial sessions.
So… i’m really happy to receive these re-chargers at my letterbox!

Faith in Face

So i check it out online and realised that hydrogel masks are one of the better masks out there, as compared to paper masks/cotton masks etc..

As for this review, i’ve received 2 after shower masks and 1 black&white film mask.

Things to take note during application:

There are a side that is smoother, remember to apply that smoother side onto your face!


Apply the top half and then the second half (or the other way around)

(Anyway, ya here is a ghostly face cause i am fun like that)

So yes, look at that glossy textures!
Hydrogel mask feels good, very smooth, 
and contours well to the face(so much more fitting then paper masks)
And it’s not over watery, i kind of dislike haven’t too much essence from the mask
I guess all the nourishments are contained well within the hydrogel.

And tada! 
The mask that i applied is the After Shower Hydrogel mask.
It’s supposed to sooth and moist your skin.
This is the after photo, and my skin feels pretty good!
I put it on for 20-30minutes.

Overall feedback:
Feels light, refreshed and after i removed the mask,
it’s not over watery as well.
My skin’s less red and looks “calmed”.

(I’m sorry if i look very messy cause i really have not enough sleep these days ahah!)

Browtisan Eyelash Extensions

Hi! It’s been a month since 
i’ve done my BROWTISAN eyelash extensions 
so i thought that i’ll just do a short review of it

$28 for a Customised Korean Single Lash Eyelash Extension at Browtisan (worth $123) in Orchard Road

I did their dramatic eyelash as you can refer to from the picture below.
You may opt for natural extensions, which i normally do.
(And when the lashes drop you won’t look awkward with empty spaces between your lashes)
Only did dramatic this time cause it’s good for photos.
They’re 13mm if i’m not wrong, 
and the beautician mixed some 12mm for the sides so it don’t look flat and weird.
Actually no matter where you’ll be doing your lashes extensions,
i recommend a customised one instead of a fixed length for all lashes
 cause they will look really unnatural.
So ladies, please ask before you do it, esp for their deals/coupons
(you don’t want to end up topping up money)
Happy eyes for Day 1
Afew days later… still good.

3 weeks after…
Okay i drop like min 1 lash everyday so it’s pretty good to last this long already?

The life expectancy of these lashes to stay on your eyes prettily is a month or lesser

ClearSK Hydrabright Lazer Facial [AD]

 Hi! I’m back for another review 
This time, i had a super lovely session with 
Clear SK Medi Aesthetics 
at the Novena Medical Center outlet.

In the picture below, i have completely NO MAKE UP on and 
NO photo edit/ lighting adjustment to this picture
(other than cropping my mole away, yes i have a mole on my upper lip:(
but i seriously feel like removing them soon haha)
I’m super happy with what 1 session can do to my face, just look at how it shines seriously.
Definitely confident to wear less BBcream/ foundation now already.
sorry peeps for the dark eyebags, they’re so ugly ahah
This is the 1st time that i’m able to look presentable after a facial.
Usually my face ends up having certain red marks/looks extremely dull.
It’s impossible to look so glowy w/o makeup.
I have tried expensive facials as well, 
Of course they work well but i still ended up having 
red marks because they still use the squeezing method at some point of the facial.
Also..Let’s not talk about the cheap ones..
Their existence are simply to make us feel like we’re taking care of skins regularly with a pocket friendly price (but i feel like they’re really of no use)

The vibe is very dark, comfortable and clinical(cause of the blue lightings)
Well first, fill up their form if you’re their 1st time customer.
Here, their facial room, everywhere’s really dim
so i have to adjust the lighting a lot for you guys to see the pictures clearly
Locker to put your belongings, and i still have light makeup on here
(but yet i think i look more dull than w/o makeup after the facial)
I’m really tired after class that day anyway.
1st step, Cleansing
The Japanese technology of Iontophoresis is used to deep-cleanse & exfoliate skin, 
with no need for painful extraction.
So it’s just like a mini machine rubbing in a circular motion around your face

And this is exactly what i like about,
no need for squeezing and painful extractions.

I’m sorry she’s always moving so it’s hard to capture a clear pic ahah
2nd step, Moisturizing
(ascorbic & vitamin c)

As you can see, something is placed under my right shoulder
It’s an electrical conductor.

ClearSK uses light ultrasonic waves of Iontophoresis to help enhance the infusion of the applications,
it can also help break down pigments (if any) without damaging the skin at all.
I can really feel the electric waves(slight) as they apply the vitamins on my face.
Especially near my teeth area.
But overall, no harm( i know it sounds scary, electric on your face lol)
 
3rd step: Brightening
(with the LAZER: LHE)
My eyes are covered to be protected from the bright light from the lazer.
It’s like IPL, works like a scanner.
So basically Cheryl just press and hold on my face for one/two flashlights interval,
it will just feel a little warm but rest assured no pain at all.
So here, the right side of my face is done, and left is not
Can you see the difference?
hahhahaha try to spot cause one side is definitely brighter than the other. 
Lastly, shoulder massage and then face mask on!
I swear the shoulder massage is really good and professional.
Key points to take note after the facial,
To moisturise more often for the next few days as after using the LHE light treatment,
it might cause your face to be a little more dry.
Just a little no worries,
No difference for me so far as i have been
 diligently putting on lots of moisturiser every night(:
TADA! Here, after the facial and w/o makeup
(Pardon my eyebags….seriously sigh)
I feel that it looks like the pic with make up on earlier.
Once again, focus on my complexion please not dark circles
Yes, My overall experience was good!
No pain, relaxing and yet it works!
